Ask Finn ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website, mobile app, and services.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign in (including via Google through NextAuth), we collect your email address and a unique user identifier. This information is stored in our database (Supabase) and used to authenticate you and associate your activity with your account.
  • Purchase Information: When you buy credits, we receive a record of the transaction. On iOS this is processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed by RevenueCat; on the web it is processed by Stripe. We store the transaction ID, product ID, purchase date, environment (sandbox or production), and credit amount granted. We never see or store your payment card numbers — Apple and Stripe handle all payment information directly under their own privacy policies.
  • AI Query Content: The questions and prompts you submit through Ask Finn are sent to one or more third-party AI providers — Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and Anthropic — for processing. Your queries may be used by those providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies and data-handling terms. We also store your queries and the responses in our database so you can review your chat history.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website and app, including pages and screens visited, time spent, features used, queries submitted, modes selected, and credit balances. This data is stored in Supabase and used for analytics and to improve the service.
  • Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and track site usage.
  • Chat Interactions: Information you provide through our chat interfaces, including questions asked and responses to qualification prompts.
  • Contact Information: If you choose to provide it, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, or zip code.
  • Phone Number: If you provide your phone number to receive results via text message, we collect and store it to deliver your requested content.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Authenticate your account, deliver AI responses to your questions, track your credit balance, and process credit purchases.
  • Connect You with Service Providers: For non-AI features, help you find and connect with local service providers who can address your needs.
  • Improve Our Services: Analyze usage patterns to improve our website, app, and user experience.
  • Analytics: Understand how our services are used and measure performance.
  • Advertising Attribution: Track the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns to better serve users who may benefit from our services.
  • Send Text Messages: When you request results via SMS, we use your phone number to deliver your content and respond to any replies you send.

Third-Party Processors

We rely on the following third-party processors to operate Ask Finn. Each processor handles your data under its own privacy policy:

  • Vercel: Hosts our website and serves the app.
  • Supabase: Stores account data, chat history, credit balances, and transaction records.
  • RevenueCat: Manages iOS in-app purchases and notifies our servers when a purchase completes.
  • Apple: Processes iOS in-app purchases through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information directly.
  • Stripe: Processes credit purchases made on the web. Stripe handles your payment information directly.
  • Google: Provides Gemini AI for processing some queries, and Google sign-in via NextAuth OAuth.
  • OpenAI: Provides AI models that process some queries.
  • Anthropic: Provides AI models that process some queries.
  • Twilio: Delivers text messages you request.

Third-Party Sharing

In addition to the processors listed above, we may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: When you request to be connected with a service provider, we share relevant information to facilitate that connection.
  • Advertising Partners: We work with advertising platforms including Facebook (Meta) and Google for tracking and attribution purposes. These partners may receive information about your interactions with our site.
  • Analytics Providers: We use third-party analytics services to help us understand site usage.

Children's Privacy

Ask Finn is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us at privacy@gladspacemedia.com and we will delete the data.

Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain account information, chat history, and transaction records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified usage data may be retained longer.

Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing privacy@gladspacemedia.com. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to limited exceptions where we are required to retain certain records (for example, financial records related to purchases).

GDPR (European Economic Area, UK): If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict processing of, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: You can request information about the personal data we collect, use, and disclose about you.
  • Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

SMS Communications

When you opt in to receive text messages from Ask Finn (operated by Gladspace Media LLC), we collect your mobile phone number and use it solely to send you the follow-up communications you requested. We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
